Introduction to diabetes

Diabetes is a complex disorder of the body’s energy metabolism (nuclear power plant that produces energy in the body), which includes lipid (obesity, high blood, liver and muscle fat), glucose (hyperglycemia, deposition of carbohydrates on protein) and protein modifications (protein consumption – the body eats himself).

In this disease the body does not produce or cannot use insulin. Insulin is necessary for the body to use sugar. Insulin takes the blood sugar and inserts it into the cell. Without insulin, sugar builds up in blood and does not enter the cells. Without sugar, the cells will starve and suffer from lack of energy. Over time, accumulated high blood sugar (high blood sugar, glycosylated hemoglobin > 7%) will hurt the eyes, kidneys, nerves, blood vessels and your heart.

Finding a new disease, like diabetes definitely scared you. But do not panic! Diabetes is a serious illness, but people with diabetes can live a long, healthy and happy life. And you can also do that by taking very good care of you.
